1. Who we are

2. The service

We provide shared web hosting as described on our plan pages. We may change technical details where this does not reduce the service you pay for.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars and include Danish moms (VAT) where it applies. Each plan is paid in advance for one month or one year. The price for the first period and the renewal price are both shown next to each plan before you order, and in your order confirmation.

4. Renewal

Before your plan runs out we email you a renewal reminder with a payment link: 30 days before for yearly plans and 7 days before for monthly plans, and again on the due date. The renewal is charged at the renewal price shown when you ordered; if you ordered before 17 October 2026, your plan renews at the price you paid. If you do not want to renew, simply do not pay, or close your account under My account. If a renewal is not paid within 7 days after the due date, we suspend the service, and we restore it as soon as you pay.

Automatic renewal (optional). Automatic renewal is off unless you turn it on. You can turn it on or off for each plan at any time under My account › Billing. When it is on, we charge the renewal on the due date to the card you saved with our payment provider Stripe, at the renewal price described above. We email you before every charge with the date, the amount and the card, and you can turn it off at any time before the charge. If the charge does not go through, we email you a payment link and the 7-day period above applies. You receive an invoice by email for every payment.

5. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for your website’s content and for keeping your passwords safe. You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy.

6. Right of withdrawal, cancellation and refunds

The same rules apply to all our customers, wherever they live. You can cancel your first order within 30 days and get the hosting fee back in full, without giving a reason. This includes the 14-day right of withdrawal that EU law gives consumers. Because you ask us to start the hosting straight away, you agree when ordering that the service begins during this period; this does not affect your refund. Domain registration fees are not refunded. You can stop using the service at any time; it runs until the end of the period you have paid for. Details are in our Refund Policy.

7. Backups

We take daily backups and keep them for up to 30 days on our own equipment in Denmark. You can also make and download your own backup under My account. Our backups are a safety net, so keep your own copy of important data.

8. Liability

Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the last 12 months, except where Danish law does not allow such a limit.

9. Personal data

How we handle your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. For personal data that you store on your website or in your email account, you are the data controller and we are your data processor, under our Data Processing Agreement, which is part of these terms.

10. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. We will email you at least 30 days before an important change takes effect. If you do not accept the change, you can stop your plan before it takes effect.

11. Governing law and complaints

These terms are governed by Danish law. If you are not satisfied, contact us first at info@host4dk.com. Consumers can also complain to the Danish Consumer Complaints Board through Nævnenes Hus (naevneneshus.dk). Consumers living in another EU country can get help from the European Consumer Centre (forbrug.dk).
