Your website, your data, kept in Denmark. Here is, in plain words, what we do to protect it.
Where your data lives
Our servers are in Denmark, run by HOST4DK on our own equipment. Your website files, databases and email stay on them, and so do all our backups. Your website data is never moved outside the EU.
Who can see it
Only HOST4DK staff who need it to run the service, signing in with two-factor or key-based login. Our admin panels cannot be reached from the internet. We never sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
How we protect it
- Encrypted connections (TLS 1.2/1.3) and free SSL for every website.
- Each website is isolated from the others on the server.
- Firewalls and automatic blocking of password guessing and attacks, for websites and email.
- Regular security updates.
- Daily backups, kept for up to 30 days, plus backups you can make and download yourself in My account.
Your website, your customers
For the personal data on your website and in your mailboxes, you are the controller and we are your processor. Our Data Processing Agreement is part of every plan, free of charge, with no forms to sign. It lists the only two subprocessors we use, Cloudflare for DNS and Let’s Encrypt for SSL certificates, and neither of them receives your website content or email.
Your rights
You can see, correct, download or delete your data. Email info@host4dk.com and we reply within one month. You can close your account yourself in My account. You can also complain to Datatilsynet, the Danish Data Protection Agency.

We only use the cookies needed for login, cart and checkout, unless you agree to more. Cookie settings
If something goes wrong
If a personal data breach affects your data, we tell you without undue delay and within 48 hours, and we report it to Datatilsynet within 72 hours when the law requires it.
